"I found Manu through a yoga site and his profile resonated loudly with me. I was looking for yoga classes and possibly a healing massage during my inaugural visit to Portugal. I reached o​ut to him and he suggested we have a telephone conversation. We made a connection during our fist talk and that led to others which were more in depth and specific. I realized that what Manu was offering was a healing experience unlike any I’d ever experienced. He requested my date and place of birth in order t​o construct a chart for me. He interviewed me about my yoga, meditation and tantric experience. We set a date for my session on what was to be my first night in Portugal. He later suggested that the following evening might be more auspicious as it was the new moon. So my attempt to book a massage had evolved into a New Moon healing ceremony a few days before my birthday. I was beside myself with excitement, but tried to keep a level head.
On the day I arrived in Lisbon, had a meeting with a friend that didn’t go as well as we both had hoped and I was feeling pretty down.
That night and the next day I did some serious self reflection and fine tuned my intentions for the ceremony. Clearly it was clarity that I sought.
When I arrived for my ceremony, Manu and I had another conversation about what I should expect. He gave me his deck of cards which I was to shuffle and select three. Sweet Basil, Bergamot and Nutmeg where the cards I drew and there were the scents to be incorporated into the aromatherapy during my ceremony.
My totally immersive experience included sound healing elements of Manu’s singing and playing music. The vibrations of the singing bowls are still with me. As is the feeling of calm that I have no explanation for other than a lasting shift in my perspective.
The physical portion of the massage ranged from smoothing and relaxing to quite intense. Manu intuitively knew which parts of me needed attention and how much. There was a focus on my solar plexus, where I tend to hold emotion, not all of it beneficial. It was somewhat painful as he worked that area intensely, but he had me breathe into it, making the pain tolerable. Afterward the release from my psychic burdens was so powerful that I felt tears rolling down my face.
Our session ended with an uplifting and transformative tantric embrace. I am feeling more connected with myself, with Manu and the other beautiful beings with whom I share this universe, thanks to these blessings." Roscoe Betsill, USA​
